The Story of Bezchitsa Baptist Church is one of the moving and powerful stories of faith in all of Russia. The region of Bryansk was one of the most affected areas of Russia during the communist days of religious persecution. The Bezchitsa Church plays a major role in that story. Today, as they continue ministry in the 21st century, this great church, with a significant building on a major intersection in this busy city, is part of the “Church Health Plan.”

Ministries of Significance at Bezchitsa Church:

• Several Church Planting efforts in the Bryansk region and beyond.
• Bezchitsa Bible Institute – a training ground for young church leaders. In recent days this institute has been a struggle.
• Bible Education Ministry - this church works hard in areas of teaching their members the Scriptures.

• Children’s Ministry – They are developing a strong children’s ministry under the leadership of Sergei Kyzhekin. During the summer of 2009 they are having a children’s camp just for their church, reaching out to children from unchurched families within their community.
• Youth Ministry - a strong youth program.

• Choir & Music – Under strong leadership, they have developed an outstanding music program with many choirs and music events.
• The Pipe Organ in this church is a major highlight. They were blessed with one of the few organs of this size in all of Russia, and each year they
  

  Social problems of drinking, drugs, and disconnected teens are part of the ministry opportunities

  host major organ concerts inviting guests from around the community to enjoy.

• Social Ministries are a big part of Bezchitsa Church. They have helped many alcoholics, homeless, orphans, and the elderly.

committed to the same principles of health and multiplication that Bezchitsa has

commited to. Don Turner from LifeWay is the partnering coach that will work with the pastor and leadership team for the next several years.
